The Environment Agency has recently published an update on the Fens Waterways Link Project.

The leaflet, produced for the 2010-11 financial year, is the fourth in a series of information leaflets going back to 2004.

New website celebrates Anglian waterways

The Environment Agency has launched a new website, Visit Anglian Waterways, aimed at highlighting all that the rivers of the Anglian region have to offer. The site is full of info about the rivers Great Ouse, Nene, Stour, Welland, Glen and Ancholme.

Making A Splash At Surfleet

The official opening of the new slipway and canoe launching point on the River Glen at Surfleet was a big success, with about 30 children and adults having a go at canoeing.

The 2007 Inland Waterways Association (IWA) National Festival Comes to the Link

One of Britains largest premier inland waterways events is to be staged on the Fens Waterways Link route this year. The IWA National Festival will be decsending on St Ives over the August bank holiday weekend (Saturday 25th - Monday 27th August).

Testing the water - Good turnout for canoeing

More than 30 children and adults took to the water in canoes on Saturday (23rd September) at the official opening of the Crowland slipway, canoe portage and landing stage on to the River Welland.
