A slipway, landing stage and canoe portage point has been provided on the River Welland, at Crowland. This will encourage use of the river by canoeists and small boat owners, as access to the river has been limited in the past.
Funding was secured through the European Regional Development Fund and Lincolnshire County Council, by the Environment Agency, to provide recreational facilities and improvements along the proposed route of the Fens Waterways Link, in Lincolnshire. |
