Fosdyke Slipway

This slipway on the River Welland near Fosdyke Bridge has long been prone to abuse by illegal jet skiers, who have previously gained access to the river at this location and disrupted legitimate users, especially sailing boats.

With the provision of additional security fencing and a gate padlocked with an Environment Agency navigation key, (provided to registered users only), it is hoped that will reduce the disruption to users on the Welland.

This work, undertaken by the Environment Agency was funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Lincolnshire County Council.

For information on registering a boat on the River Welland, please contact the Environment Agency on 08708 506 506 and ask for Boat Licensing at Peterborough.
